Lousy Customer Service

Reliable Fence in Woburn gave me horrible customer service. Don't confuse these guys with The other Reliable Fence in the Boston area, who may be fine. I ordered three fence segments (open stockade) and they delivered 2 with 17 pickets and one with 16. 17 pickets leaves no gap next to the post, and 16 does, so it matters more than it sounds like it might. When I called to tell them about the error, they said bring them in and they would look at them. Bring them in? I told them I did not have a vehicle for that, and that I had specifically requested 16 pickets.

The person on the phone immediately began to protest that "that is the way they come, in both 16 and 17" and made it sound like they are pot luck. He actually wanted me to fax him my copy of the order to prove that I had requested 16!

I pointed out that this was not relevant, that they should have sent all of one type regardless, and he actually blamed it on the poor quality of help that was available, and refused to take any responsibility at all.

I said that the only reasonable response to sending two of one kind and one of another was to offer to send a truck and rectify the situation as soon as possible, to which he replied "you are entitled to your opinion".

It was clear from the phone manner that he was not going to do anything to help from the start, so at this point I just lost my temper.

I will not do any business with them again, and recomend that you don't either.
